Located in DeSoto County, Mississippi, Horn Lake Middle and High School's band program fosters a dynamic and enriching musical experience for students of all skill levels. Our comprehensive program caters to the diverse musical interests and ambitions of our young musicians. From the formative years of 6th grade to the pinnacle of high school performance, our dedicated staff provides expert instruction and guidance.
The foundation of our program lies in our middle school ensembles. Aspiring musicians embark on their musical journey in our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade bands, where they develop the essential technical skills and musical foundation necessary for future success. As students progress, they have the opportunity to refine their abilities in the HLHS Concert Band, an ensemble dedicated to the performance of traditional wind band repertoire.
For the most advanced musicians, the Horn Lake High School Wind Ensemble serves as a platform for artistic excellence. This elite group performs challenging and sophisticated works, showcasing the remarkable talents of our student musicians.
The culmination of our program is the 'Eagle Pride' marching band, a symbol of school spirit and community pride. This exceptional ensemble performs at football games, parades, and other special events. Through rigorous practice and disciplined execution, our marching band strives for precision, musicality, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
